Stage 7 of the Tour Monte Rosa takes you from Saas-Fee to Grächen through varied scenery featuring forests, alpine trails, and impressive viewpoints overlooking the Saas Valley.
What to expect on this stage:
- Start in Saas-Fee on a wide path passing the Bärufalla
- A gentle ascent through larch forests to Senggbodu, which is said to be cursed according to legend
- The route continues via Stafelälpji and the Schilt above Saas-Balen
- Cross the scree field of Lammugrabu, where—according to legend—a dragon once lived
- Ascent to Rotes Biel above Eisten
- Descent through larch woodland to the Schweibbach
- Continue along exposed paths and gullies past the Stock to the Furggen viewpoint
- Final section through the forest to the Hannigalp above Grächen
- From the Hannigalp, you can enjoy an impressive view of the mountain scenery
